New Orleans Escorts, Memphis Escorts Accused of Rape, Abuse of Teenagers

New Orleans, LA (CNN) – New Orleans escorts and other adult entertainers accused of sexual assault and sexual abuse of young girls are facing charges that include rape and sexual battery.

In an indictment unsealed Tuesday, a federal grand jury charged a number of people with conspiracy, aggravated sexual battery, and obstruction of justice related to the alleged crimes.

In the indictment, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New Orleans says the alleged offenses occurred between 2014 and 2017.

In the indictment unseamed Tuesday, authorities allege that the defendants “conspired with one another to prey on a vulnerable young female in their business and their home, and to engage in a series of inappropriate conduct, including touching and sexual touching, to engage a minor.”

Investigators say in at least six cases, the defendants used a video camera and other devices to record young girls while they were performing sexually explicit acts, according to the indictment.

In some cases, authorities say the girls were filmed while they performed oral sex, a practice that is not allowed in the industry.

Investigators say the defendants also used “an unknown number of other devices, including cameras, video recording devices, and other means to sexually assault a victim, in some cases by repeatedly touching and touching the victim’s genitals and genital area with objects, such as fingers and toys.”

The defendants are accused of recording the victims’ private parts and touching them without consent, authorities said.

The indictment also alleges that the men sexually assaulted at least one victim by repeatedly hitting her against a wall and repeatedly rubbing her genitals.

Authorities say the alleged assaults occurred in at-home settings, and that the victims were lured to meet with the defendants by using a variety of methods, including placing ads in social media.

In at least two cases, police say, the women were assaulted and videotaped while they visited the defendants.

In each case, authorities claim the victims had been promised money for sex with the men.
